  dr smith is a good teacher. I like the subject matter in the course family stress and coping. the model is very interesting and she was helpful in explaining it to me in office hours. The class was hard for me but i liked it

  This is an asynchronous class- so yes you need to teach yourself through the materials she adds. I like her lectures and the information she adds is helpful. I found this course personally helpful and really appreciated her availability. Great professor!

  Prof Smith is really kind, but unfortunately, her lectures are very minimal and uninspired. It's obvious she reads off the textbook for her lectures instead of actually teaching the material. The class is really easy; weekly discussion posts, some reading, one short paper, and a 10 pg final paper. The material is interesting. Easy A class.

  Dr. Smith is a good teacher if you like to teach yourself. For her lectures, she uploads slides and records herself reading them. Her quizzes have nothing to do with the lecture or textbook, and when she responds to you about a quiz answer she lets you know how the answer is not in the book and you have to use critical thinking.

  This class was low maintenance. Weekly quizzes and 3 papers. I never did the readings and her lectures are just her reading the PowerPoints word for word. The quizzes were kind of mixed and random sometimes but she was understanding and gave extra credit because of low grades and errors. Not the best professor in the world but also wasn't a bad one

  DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!! Based on the good reviews I decided to take this class to fulfill my writing-intensive CAP. Boy, do I regret it. 50% of my week is for this class alone. She assigns 40-60 pages of reading, 2 VERY long/articulate discussions, & a quiz PER WEEK. A 10 -15 page paper and two 2-3 pages for FDRP presentation. Doesn't teach at all.

  Dr. Smith is a great professor! Really helpful and down to earth. Family Stress and Coping is a very interesting topic and really helpful for life in general. Learned a lot.

  Make sure you get a good CARP group and that you study all of the powerpoint slides. She gives points for a ton of things but doesn't always keep up with the syllabus so some assignments end up being worth more points because the other assignments don't get to happen. Be gentle with how you ask for help or clarification, she gets offended easily.

  This is a capstone and a writing intensive course so be ready- there's a lot of work! She makes the class very enjoyable and fun and I really learned a lot about myself there. I highly recommend Professor Smith.

  Professor Smith is an amazing professor! This class is great! It is a capstone and the workload is not as bad as you may expect. There is a group project that may be a workload but once you finish you won't have a lot to worry about. You have 5 quizzes and no exams. She gives you the answers for the quizzes. There is a 10-15 page essay not bad!
