  Prof Smith is the GOAT. She is so knowledgeable and eager to see students succeed, whether it's with grammar, writing, editing, making professional connections, etc. She gives great feedback on assignments. There were a few weeks she had to cancel class due to health reasons, but she never makes excuses--she always does her part. Amazing prof!

  She was definitely one of my favorite professors this semester. She always had a ton of energy and was super passionate about what she was teacher. Clearly this is her passion. Course was super easy, you'd show up to class and do a quick write up about the reading and then she'd just talk about the reading the entire class.

  Absolutely amazing! I am happy to have had her in my first year of college. She brought back my love of literature after high school decimated it and was the final factor for my switch from undeclared to English. She is passionate about her teaching and an expert on the works she covered. Also, she doesn't just read her slides but actually teaches.

  I learned way more than I expected. The class was hard, but the professor made it easily digestible. She's super sweet and kind. 3 exams and group assignments that count toward attendance as well. All exams are based on the textbook. A lot of extra credit opportunities btw!!!

  I really enjoyed this class with Professor Smith! It wasn't lecture-heavy and instead rested upon small group discussions. She is a passionate educator and if you aren't into the subject matter, she will definitely change your mind. Super clear about the grading criteria for every assignment in this class and easy to reach over Canvas/Email

  Professor Smith is the best professor I had this semester. Quiz every week, three exams, one project (very easy), and attendance points. I suggest you take at least one course instructed by her. I learned a lot and enjoyed her lectures.

  Took her course as the only non English major in class & was sure I would struggle but she makes learning about literature easy & fun. Lots of reading and a weekly short MC quiz so make sure you don't fall behind on readings. Overall she loves literature and teaching it so lectures were never boring.

  Cool teacher. Grammer is hard in general but she makes sure to exaplin it. The midterm and final was hard but if you do all other classwork you will pass with a C. There is homework but its very easy.

  Professor Smith makes expanding grammar knowledge worth it. There is a lot of reading and a quiz weekly but she's accessible with questions and very detailed in her lectures. She also provides recordings of classes if you're unable to attend. A great professor!

  Prof. Smith teaches ENGL416 well. I learned a lot in such a short amount of time but I will admit its a difficult class. Don't be surprised to fail the first few assignments but she was always there to guide us every step of the way and provided great feedback on assignments. She records meetings and always answers questions respectfully.

  This professor cares A LOT about literature. What is unique about Smith is her ability to boil dry concepts from old lit down to components identifiable to the modern student. Bringing Beowulf to 2018 is no easy task but Smith does it with ease. Her response papers are mini drafts of your term paper so she saves you a lot of time if you start early

  A professor who truly is passionate about teaching the material. Taking her class re-energized my passion for my major when I felt burnt out.   SHe is BY FAR my favorite professor EVER. She is hilarious and so down to earth, but educated and grades straight forward. Shes had medical issues, so she was unbelievably understanding when I had to miss class! Her assignments are very clear, she even allows re-dos for a better grade! She is very passionate and wants students to succeed!!

  i loooooooove professor smith! shes super easy, super cool, and super educated about the material she teaches. she makes light of all the lessons so class is really fun. she doesnt lecture the entire time either and allows for students to lead the class at times. coursework is easy, especially if youre into it. shes pretty damn cute too...

  Very random teacher. Write response/essay to each text chapter, but very liberal and grades fairly easily if you have a good point. Two group projects and a term paper for a final. Just?the discussions were really random and it sometimes seemed like we weren?t doing much. Very unstructured classes, but she?s knowledgeable on a lot of topics.
